How is everyone enjoying this hot and wonderful summer. We have been waiting for this weather for quite sometime therefore let us make the most of it. Even though many countries have slowly opened up, many people will still not want to venture out and travel very far by bus, or plane. There are many places in your own countries that you can explore. Why not become a tourist in your own country ?
Today we look at ways to have a fun yet full filled and satisfying staycation. One of the things that the Pandemic has done is that it has opened up our eyes to new ways of doing things. One of those things is the way we look at traveling. Why travel to another country sometimes when there are hidden gem in places you have never been to in your own country
Many times tourists come from other countries to discover interesting places in your own country. Therefore why not plan to travel to some where in your country that you have never visited. Here is how to start

1. Make a list of all the places in your country that you have never visited 2. Narrow the list down in terms of distance from where you are 3. Further then narrow the list down in terms of what interest you and you could then place them in order in terms of how many you may be able to visit during the summer 4. Next look at cost to visit these places, do you need to drive or take transit, is there an entry fee 5. Plan according to your family and your needs, for example a family with young children would need different arrangements as oppose to a family with teenagers or no children 6. Make a budget in terms of how much it will cost and make allowance to for unforeseen emergency so allow yourself to have extra funds 7. Decide what the staycation will need for example an over night adventure will need more resources as oppose to a day excursion 8. Make adjustments for weather changes or even location, for example if you are leaving from the city to a more urban or rural area you might want to check out the temperature or if you need anything extra. It might be cooler in the rural area as oppose to the city so you would pack accordingly. Likewise coming from the rural area to the city it might be dry or hot. The important thing is to do your research so you are prepared 9. Gather what you will need for your trip, crossing off each item off a list as you check to make sure everything is in place. If you have young children get them involved in this activity as it builds up excitement about the trip 10. Before you leave go over all the plans of where you are going and where you will be staying if it's an over night adventure. Make you have a map of the location. Do a thorough about the area or place where you are going so you know what to expect. Even though it may be the same country different areas will have different way of life, therefore it helps you not to be caught off guard.
Staycations are a great way to have a spectacular vacation on a budget while at the same time learning more about your own country. I do believe that after the Pandemic we will look at ways to travel in a different light. You do not need to spend thousands of dollars on a vacation and when you become a tourist in your own country you are also helping the economy.

I believe in living life in a simple yet fulfilling stratosphere. Simple doesn't mean denying yourself  of all the great things that life has to offer. Life was meant to be lived on your own terms and not  on someone else's. It is about you.
