As I stated earlier how does one find balance in life. Better yet the question is what really is balance anyway ? Having balance in your life is where you are able to manage and divide your time effectively, thereby having control over different elements in your everyday life and not getting burnt out in any one area.
Striking a balance life is no easy task and it takes a lot of self control as well as skillfully managing your time to carve out time for different aspects of your life. To have a balanced life is very important for both your mental and physical health.
Life has its ups and downs and it will never be a smooth road. Finding balance has to be a purpose because if you do not have balance in your life you will be drained out. Therefore how do you find balance in your life. We live in a fast pace life and without realizing it the stresses of life can creep up on you and before you know it you are overwhelmed with life and this results in exhaustion, ill health and frustration.
In order to find a balance in your life you must seek it out. In other words you must be vigilant about it. The first thing to finding a balance in your life is to have a strong sense of who you are. Know that you are important, therefore you will need time for yourself. Do not feel guilty to take time out of your schedule to focus on you
it is important to recharge and fuel your energy by getting away form your routine. Always find time to meditate or escape for moments and focus on you. This doesn't mean that you have to travel or even leave your house. It just means take moments to just be in the moment and be by yourself
In finding balance take an assessment of your overall life. Is there one thing that is taking up too much of your time. Yes in our lives at times we will have to work long hours, or if we are working towards a goal we may be involved with a particular project. But this should not be ongoing to the point where it is causing you stress and an imbalance
This would mean then you should find a solution to create the balance that you need by correcting what ever is causing the pain. You need to find a way to correct the situation to bring about the balance that you need. This may not be able to happen over time but you should continue to work towards the outcome that you need to see
Too often as humans we take on more than we need to. Know when to say no. You cannot sit on every committee or volunteer for several groups. Stop trying to be a super hero. We are only given 24 hours. I spoke of managing your time wisely in another video. Do not let any one let you feel guilty of saying no to be involved in something that is going to take away time from your life to create an imbalance
Try to avoid negative people and toxicity. Your energy will be sapped and you will feel stressed if you surround yourself with this energy. Even if it is family or good friends do not give in. This ties in back with saying no also
understand that in life you cannot help everyone, therefore do not take on people's issues or think you must solve their problems. Be polite and learn to walk away. I am not saying that you should not respond to friends or families emergencies or listen if someone is in pain. But there are some persons who are toxic and they are always negative. I am saying know when to walk away, especially if it is a pattern of behaviour
Life is short and perfection does not exist. Stop trying to impress everyone or think that you must have things all together or you must achieve certain things by a certain time. Compete with yourself and not anyone else
Do not put pressure on yourself to live up to society's expectation of what we should have , or where we should be in our careers. Let go of perfection and simply be you, and anyone who does not like it that is their problem.
Do not compare yourself to others. Know your strengths and weaknesses. Know that you cannot control another person just as how you cannot control the weather, therefore do not get caught up with what others think of you. Fix the things about you that you want to improve and use your strengths to help you
Every day we are given a clean slate, so each day start over , therefore when you make a mistake own up to it and keep it moving instead of beating up on yourself
Last thing I will say in finding balance is to love yourself unconditionally. Love all your flaws, be kind to yourself and each day tell yourself that you are a unique person who is fabulous. Find your balance in 2022

There is a saying that there is a season for everything. All things are done for a reason. Nothing in life is constant. In some countries there are 4 distinct seasons, summer, fall, winter and spring.
Some countries only have one season but there are different weather patterns for example , In a tropical country there would be a rainy season and a dry one. You get the point of what I am saying. If you haven't done so please press the like button, share and subscribe
Just as how there are seasons of the atmosphere so it is that there are different seasons in your life. It is important that we realize that nothing in life is constant and your life will change through out its course. One must be prepared for the different seasons through out your life's journey. If planned correctly, then you will be able to move through each life's season embracing all life has to offer.
Here are the four seasons of our life:
Spring: This is our birth where we come into this world and everything is new. There is a sense of joy as we are welcomed into a family. This is the early years of our life where we are fascinated by everything around us. We want to explore the world we are in and we approach the world with a sense of innocence. During this period of your life you are trusting of everyone, and the world through your eyes is all good. the spring of your life is seen in simple terms.
Summer: This period of your life is in your late teens rolling into your twenties and early thirties. This is where you find independence and it is supposedly the tropical period of your life as in this season you venture out leaving family in search of an identity and excitement. The summer season of your life can be exhilarating. Some people will pursue careers or some persons may get married, but the possibilities are endless. It is a time to network and form last long friendships and alliances. It is a beautiful phrase in your life that should not be ignored or wasted.
During your summer you are still trying to figure out your identity, who you are or where you want to go and this is perfectly normal.
Fall: The Fall of your life is from the late thirties to the fifties. This is the period of your life where for many they have experience many highs or lows. Some persons may have been divorced, some may have grown kids and are experiencing empty nests because the kids have moved out. In some case many persons develop ailments during this season of their life. For some people they may find a newness to life and may start over by pursuing new career or relationships.
But for others pending on their mindset this season can become one of stagnant complacency, as they feel too old to pursue dreams, or they may just feel useless or demotivated. For many people in the season of fall they become stuck in a rut that they refuse to get out of.
Winter: This season is the final leg of your life from your 60s onward. Some people may retire and become sedentary, while some persons may even start another career or continue to work. Many persons by now have grand children. Pending on how you have lived and prepared in the other seasons winter can be simple satisfying.
But it can also be hard for many persons if there are ailments or poor finances. It can be one of constant ailments, and for some people pending on your mindset they worry about the final days of their life. The winter period of your life was meant for reflection and for looking back at your legacy and family. For some there will be a sense of fulfilment for others there may be regret. Whatever your thoughts are the fact is that the winter season of your life is your final destination whether you like it or not.
Boyz to men one of my favourite r and b group have a song name seasons change. The simple truth is we all have 4 seasons throughout our life should we live to a certain age, and even then there will always be seasons in our lives. Some days will be winter, other times it will be summer. It all depends on how you handle your seasons and how you prepare ahead.
Life is simple and there is no reason to fear what is ahead. Like natural season you plan ahead. You do not wear summer clothes during winter, Nor would you dress for winter during the summer. Embrace the seasons in your life and plan accordingly.
There is no need to fear the seasons that we will come across throughout our life because it is inevitable. Enjoy your springs, soak up your summers, celebrate your falls, and absolutely adore your winters. And most of all be good to you
