There's nothing bad about wanting to be alone, from time to time. It's actually a good idea to be alone with ourselves, and our thoughts. For some, this is the hardest thing to do. They hate being alone with their thoughts and problems. Why? Because then they have to admit those feelings and thoughts and problems and try to deal with them, fix what needs fixing. Some people surround themselves with others just so they don't have to ever be alone.

Yes, and loneliness or feeling lonely is not as good. You should aim to meet up with a friend or two every few weeks at least. Spend time with family members. Staying too much alone is not good in most cases. Of course, there are people that thrive when being alone and they don't have any kind of problems with loneliness. They like solitude, are introverts and actually hate being in a group.

If you feel alone please know that you aren’t. You’re never alone. You’re surrounded by family and friends that love you and care for you, even if you don’t realize it. You’re surrounded by beautiful birds that sing in the trees, by the wind that whispers in your ear, by all this beautiful world that is here, for you. You are never truly alone.

You can always go online on forums, blogs, discussion boards and start talking to people and meet new friends. There are always people online to talk to, some of which feel as alone as you and would need a new friend in their life. So why not help each other?
